I have been a great fan of Procol Harums music since my youth. The first time I saw the band was in a Classic-Rock Concerts in 1972 or 1973 in the Circus Krone in Munich, Germany, where Gary played with the German conductor Eberhard Schoener and the Choir Toelzer Knabenchor. Later I saw him and ther band many times in Germany, for example in the "Villa Berg" in Stuttgart but also in Munich and even in my home town of Augsburg. One time - it was a few years ago - I met Gary personally after a concert in Stuttgart-Winterbach when he drank a glass of white wine in front of the Best Western Hotel of Winterbach with Geoff and Matt. Of course, I asked him for an autograph but first he refused and after a while he did it. He was a very sympathic man and I will remember to his music and his very special humour till the end of my days.
